NY Trip Day 3 – July 4th (Happy 4th of July!)

I think today was a perfect example of why I love NY so much.  THE SUBWAY.  Yes, its just a  form of public transportation, but not in a place like NY.  All of the sudden the subway trains become a magical tele-portation vehicle that can take you from an area of “Bright Neon Lights” to  “Graffiti Coverd Walls”, from  “Poshy Upper Class” to “Hippie Love Fest”, and as we would soon find out, “Glitter and Glam” to “Gritz and Grime”.

NY Trip Day 2 – July 3rd (Lots of Shopping)

TIMES SQUARE

Times Square was pretty crowded today.  Everyone  is visiting for the 4th of July.  After a 5 minute walk down the strip it was time for Robyns first break for the day.  We stopped and sat down at the new Virgin Mobile Staircase.  Luckily I had the camera or we would have ended up with 38 pictures from this spot.  After resting for a minute, we ended up deciding to spend the rest of the day in some of the shopping areas of downtown New York.  When it comes to to shopping there are two main areas within downtown to go… Canal Street (all the Coach, LV, D&G, and DB you could ever want), and “The Wholesale District”.
